Kazo District Launches the disbursement of Parish Revolving Fund under 

Residents of Kazo district are overjoyed following the disbursement of Parish Revolving Fund (PRF) under Parish Development Model(PDM) program.

Kazo district Woman MP; Hon Jennifer Muheesi who presided over the official district launch of the PRF under PDM) at the district headquarters encouraged beneficiaries to utilize the funds well and avoid domestic violence.

Lt. Col. Ronald Rubaale, the UPDF officer in charge of Operation Wealth Creation at Ministry of Finance, Planning and Economic Development has called upon the PDM SACCOs to have a clear plan on how to distribute and utilize the UGX 100m that government has planned to give to each SACCO every year.

The district PDM focal person who is also the DPO, Asiimwe Johnbaptist, said a total of 490 households from 9 parishes have been prepared to receive PRF.

The 490 beneficiaries were from the 9 parishes of; Akengyeya and Nyungu in Kyampagara sub-county, Akatongore, Kikoni, and Migina parishes all in Migina sub-county, Obwengara and Rwemirondo wards in Kazo town council, Mbogo in Kanoni sub-county and Magondo in Burunga sub-county were fully prepared and received up to UGX 393m PRF.

The CAO, Mr. Nsubuga Zirimenya appreciated the district PDM core team for their generous contribution towards the success of PDM.

Mr. Nsubuga also urged beneficiaries to educate their children and to utilize the PRF well to ensure they attain economic growth & transformation.

The PDM program seeks to propel 39% of Uganda’s population still in the subsistence economy into the money economy.
