Newly Recruited Staff Urged to Uphold Professionalism in Kazo
Newly recruited employees of the Kazo district local government have been urged to maintain professionalism and integrity while executing their duties in public service.
The remarks were made during an orientation meeting held today for the new staff to familiarize them with their roles and responsibilities within the district administration.
The Principal Human Resource Officer for the district, Muhumuza Ambrose, advised the employees to adhere to all government rules and regulations while carrying out their duties. He also encouraged them to respect their supervisors and remain committed to serving the public diligently.
Muhumuza further oriented the staff on workplace rights and responsibilities, noting that the Human Resource Office is committed to facilitating their inclusion on the government payroll once they submit all the required documentation on time.
He asked the new employees to provide necessary documents including bank account details, Tax Identification Numbers (TIN), photocopies of appointment letters, posting instructions, assumption and acceptance letters, among others.
While administering the Oath of Office, Oath of Secrecy and Oath of Allegiance in the district council hall, the Chief Administrative Officer of Kazo district district, Hajji Badru Mayanja Majwala, welcomed the new staff and urged them to perform their duties with dedication.
Majwala reminded the employees that they had worked hard and successfully competed for the positions on merit. He therefore encouraged them to serve with discipline, professionalism and ethical conduct.
“You prayed and worked hard to get these jobs and fortunately you succeeded on merit. Now perform your duties as expected and observe discipline and ethics in public service,” he said.
The Chief Administrative Officer also urged the employees to observe proper dress code while at work.
Meanwhile, the District Speaker, Dan Nahurira Bwamunyoga, welcomed the new staff and reminded them that they are now part of government service and should prioritize delivering quality services to the public.
He noted that although the employees come from different backgrounds with different personalities, they must focus on carrying out their duties effectively.
Bwamunyoga also revealed that during his time as a leader, he has witnessed many people join public service, some of whom have excelled while others have failed to meet expectations. He cautioned the new employees that district leaders will be closely monitoring their performance.
