Office of the President Rallies Kazo to Uphold Museveni’s Vision for Growth
A team from the Office of the President, led by the Commissioner in charge of RDCs in Western Uganda, Lt. Col. James Mwesigye, today held a meeting with all staff of Kazo District Local Government at Kazo Compassion Hall in Kazo Town Council.
The main objective of the engagement was to assess the performance of government projects in the district and ensure effective service delivery to the people.
The meeting was officially opened by the Chief Administrative Officer (CAO) for Kazo District, Hajji Badru Mayanja Majwala, who commended district staff for their dedicated efforts in implementing government programs.
During the session, the CAO presented a progress report highlighting several ongoing and completed projects. He also introduced heads of departments who shared updates on their respective sectors. Mayanja expressed gratitude to President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni for his continued support toward local government development.
In his remarks, Kazo Resident District Commissioner (RDC), Captain Yahaya Kakooza, thanked the delegation from the President’s Office for visiting the district. He noted that Kazo enjoys strong cooperation among leaders and that government projects are being implemented effectively. Kakooza further assured that the people of Kazo will continue to support President Museveni for his remarkable achievements in transforming Uganda.
Addressing the meeting, Lt. Col. James Mwesigye praised the CAO and staff of Kazo for their discipline and organization.
“I have moved to several districts, but I have not seen a team as smart and well-organized as Kazo’s staff,” he remarked.
He applauded the progress of government projects under President Museveni’s leadership and urged local leaders and staff to continue mobilizing communities to support government programs and ensure peaceful elections.
Lt. Col. Mwesigye also urged the people of Kazo district to rally behind President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni for a better Uganda, noting that the country is steadily progressing under his leadership and that this progress should be maintained.
The meeting was attended by all Kazo District Local Government staff employed by the Government of Uganda.
